Ravi Shah, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, cornea, refractive, and anterior segment surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Managerial Studies from Rice University, graduating magna cum laude. He then received his medical degree with high honors from Baylor College of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and awarded the Carlos and Doris Morris Scholarship of Presidential Excellence.
Dr. Shah completed his internship in Internal Medicine at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, followed by a residency in Ophthalmology at the Roski Eye Institute, University of Southern California. During his time at Roski Eye, a program consistently ranked among the top ten ophthalmology programs in the nation, he served as Chief Resident and earned the Senior Resident Teacher of the Year Award. Following his residency, Dr. Shah completed a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive, and Anterior Segment Surgery at the Cullen Eye Institute, Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Shah is highly regarded for his commitment to advancing ophthalmology through clinical excellence and research. He has contributed to over 20 research publications, including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and conference presentations, shared at both national and international levels. His contributions span topics such as intraocular lens calculations, neuro-ophthalmic manifestations of systemic diseases, and advancements in corneal cross-linking techniques.
