Cornea Specialist and Comprehensive Ophthalmologist
Dr. Fatima Ali is a cataract, cornea and refractive surgeon focused on taking outstanding care of patients in the greater Chicagoland area, after living in multiple cities including Boston, St. Louis, and Dallas. She attended an accelerated, six-year combined undergraduate-medical degree program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. Following medical school, she trained at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas for her internship. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Dr. Ali continued her training at Emory University where she completed a rigorous fellowship in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery.
Dr. Ali is a cornea specialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist at Chicago Arbor Eye Institute. Her clinical and surgical interests include laser cataract surgery, advanced technology intraocular lenses, corneal diseases including cross-linking for keratoconus and corneal transplantation, pterygium surgery, and laser vision correction, including LASIK and PRK.
Dr. Ali is dedicated to staying at the forefront of advancements in ophthalmology. She employs the latest technologies in her practice, ensuring that each patient receives the highest quality care. Her patient-centered philosophy emphasizes personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
Outside of work, Dr. Ali enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, exploring Chicago and baking.
