A team of Arbor doctors is one of the first in Chicago and Illinois to offer a unique surgery to our patients for the treatment of glaucoma in combination with cataract surgery. The iStent® (http://www.glaukos.com/istent) is a micro-implant, placed in the eye during cataract surgery to increase and improve fluid outflow and decrease eye pressure. For many patients, fewer or no glaucoma drops will be needed following iStent® insertion.
